*What number do I call to see if an event/game is cancelled due to weather?
Answer: Call the ROC front Desk 704-815-1172. We will also update the website with info whenever possible www.ROCsports.org
* Can I request to have a friend on my ROCsports team?
Answer: Yes, ROCsports is built on relationships and community outreach. We want you to invite friends and neighbors to play on your team with you. We will try to make teams as even as possible, so multiple requests cannot always be honored completely, but we will always do our best to put relationships first.
* What is league registration money used for?
Answer: Youth sports require uniforms, field/gym maintenance, computer data software, staff support, new equipment/replacing old equipment, and in some cases paid referees and scorekeepers.
* What kind of Christian stuff happens at ROCsports?
Answer: ROCsports coaches care about families in this community and it is our goal to share the love of God with families. We will never pressure a person to believe what the Bible says, but we believe the Bible is the truth of God and we are excited to share the truth as part of ROCsports. We will open events with prayer and we like to share a Bible verse or thought from the Bible before or after each game.
* Why do some sport leagues cost more than others?
Answer: The price we charge is proportional to the cost it takes to run/equip that particular sport. ROCsports is also responsible to fund the staff positions required to direct the sports ministry at Carmel.
* Do all the Directors and Head Coaches at ROCsports have to agree to screening for criminal background checks, child protection check, and drug abuse checks?
Answer: Yes
* Will I receive a credit if I register for a sport season or camp and then cannot participate due to an emergency or circumstances out of my control?
Answer: Yes, we are pleased to give a full credit for any family who has registered and cannot participate for just about any reason. You may use that credit for any other sport in that calendar year. We exist to serve you and want you to have the best sports experience possible.
